My name is Joseph Francisco La Madrid, a Toronto-born & Lake Louise based Photographer.
In 2009 I was in the Broadcast and Film program at Centennial College and one of my courses happened to be imaging photography.
It was either buy my own camera or borrow one from the school. Which would be difficult seeing as how they had two and we shared it with the journalism students.

So I purchased a Canon Rebel XSi and hit the ground running.  I shadowed my uncle Efren Chimbo, an established photographer in Toronto, and after a few months I was shooting on my own.
In 2010 when I first started doing photography I was working with a friend and a distant cousin and we started under "Coffee Break Studios".
In late 2010 that union fell apart and I went solo using the name "New Realities Photography" this continued until the winter of 2011 my gear was stolen and unable to purchase new equipment I took a hiatus.
In 2014 after purchasing a Canon 60D I started back up this time taking my middle name as my professional title.
